Doug is a content strategist, advertising creative director, and co-founder of Zuum. Prior to founding Zuum, Doug was the founder/creative director of interactive marketing agency Basement for 9 years. His work included strategy, social media, and rich media development and production for clients including Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, United Way, EA Games, Pepsi, California Lottery, Bank of America, Oroweat Bread, and Travelocity. His interactive career began in 1995 at TBWA/Chiat/Day, creative directing one of the early online brand experiences for the 1996 Nissan Pathfinder. Beginning his career as a traditional copywriter, he’s held creative positions at DDB, TBWA/Chiat/Day, and BBDO. AdTech, OMMA, iMedia Summit, and the Facebook Global Sales Conference are some of the events Doug has spoken at. He writes the blog Creativing.com, and frequently contributes articles to iMedia Connection and the Content Marketing Institute. Outside the marketing and technology worlds, Doug likes photography, bass guitar, single speed bikes, and playing basketball.

Co-founder, Technology and Product Development

Alex is a technical strategist and developer, and co-founder of Zuum. Prior to the launch of Zuum, Alex was the CEO of Branch Interactive. He has over 15 years of experience developing software and internet applications, especially web, mobile and social apps. He’s led the development of interactive projects for companies including AT&T, EMC, Legendary Pictures, Hewlett Packard, Foundation Capital, UCLA, Anaheim Ducks, and LA18 Television. Apps he’s developed have been featured in TechCrunch and iPod commercials. Alex graduated with a degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley.
